Valerie J. Kushnerov

Principal, Navigator Services

Valerie Kushnerov has been responsible for managing special projects and operations for businesses in the public, private, and non-profit sectors.  She has helped clients implement their marketing and community education strategies while overseeing day to day operations for other clients.

Valerie Kushnerov is the principal of Navigator Services located in Santa Barbara, California.  Navigator Services was founded in 1998 to offer outstanding and affordable organizational and project management support to businesses on a project and long-term basis. 

During her years in business, she has managed fundraising and public relations initiatives and implemented marketing campaigns for a variety of industries.  She coordinated the behind-the-scene details of the Inter-Regional Partnership for Jobs, Housing & Mobility and designed the final report.  She also created and placed all of the advertising for the Santa Barbara International Film Festival.   Her past clients include a national strategic marketing corporation, an event planning company, Westmont College, Brooks Firestone, The Nature Conservancy and many others.

Ms. Kushnerov has over fifteen years of project management experience with a broad background ranging from government service to non-profits and education to marketing and public affairs.  Her management of various projects, both locally and nationally, has earned her the reputation as the person to manage details effectively and efficiently.  Her ability to quickly understand the complexity of any project is reflected in the wide variety of companies and industries that hire her.

Prior to staring Navigator Services, Ms. Kushnerov was a Field Representative for Assemblyman Brooks Firestone where she coordinated the district media relations, oversaw constituent casework, maintained the Assemblyman’s schedule, and managed the day-to-day office functions.

Before being recruited for Firestone’s team, Ms. Kushnerov managed the Community Relations for Goleta Valley Community Hospital.  She was responsible for the advertising design and scheduling, media relations, internal and external publications, and event planning. 

Ms. Kushnerov holds a Bachelors Degree in Political Science from Westmont College.  She has lived in Santa Barbara for over 20 years and has lent her organizational leadership and publication design expertise to many community organizations.
